On the occasion of the founding year of the Bildungsinitiative Chemie, an initiative of the facilitation of chemical education, in this memorandum an about-turn of the education policy in Germany is required to improve the conditions for the mathematics and natural science education. The first theses and conclusions of the discussions and workshops within the initiative are presented in the memorandum.
The lasting strengthening and the improvement of chemistry education are still aims of the German education policy. Therefore, the theses are up to date.
