The study deals with the role of gender in mathematics education. In elementary school already the basis for future attainment is laid. Teachers, parents, children and young people themselves consider boys as more mathematically talented than girls. The study. The study analyzes the situation in the classrooms and gives educational approaches to design gender suitable math classes.
The important question of an adequate but different scientific promotion of boys and girls is treated.
