IDIS-Science Center of Napoli

IDIS-Science Center is a young community that lives and works in an old chemical factory in Napoli, restored by an elegant operation of industrial archaeology. It was created by physicist Victor Silvestrini and occupies 65.000 square meters hosting the largest and most innovative hands on museum in Italy, one of the largest and most innovative European Interactive museums. IDIS-Science Center is important for the dissemination of scientific culture where spreading and teaching of sciences are carried out in order to be accessible to everybody .
The objective is to communicate everything to everybody, to make scientific knowledge a good not only available to a few lucky people, but a good for all humanity.
People of every age
The center is the permanent residence of one of the largest and most innovative interactive scientific museums. Every year new and topical conferences, seminars, exhibitions and laboratories are carried out in this space. Laboratories are addressed to everybody, but with a particular care to school students (both compulsory and high school); many laboratories concerning chemistry are available.
The IDIS-Science Center is located in Napoli, but visitors from everywhere in Italy. Every year the Centers receives many visitors from all over the world.
The center is visited daily by schools and people of every age to easily increase and update their scientific knowledge.
The space is well organized and the activities that are carried out are changed or updated every year in order to be constantly attractive and topical.
