Description of activities carried out:
WP7.1
A total of four dissemination events were organized in order to make the existence of the project known to the target group (students, teachers, adult learners).
The events included mainly announcement postings and informative mailing via e-mail. A flyer and informative 2-page text were produced (in Greek) and sent to the parties.

WP7 - Activity 7.1
Five dissemination events were carried out (Informative Face-to-face Meetings, Announcement Posting, Publication of small article in a local newspaper of Zakynthos island, Informative mailing and Article on Website).

WP7.1
A total of five dissemination activities were done, aiming at disseminating the CIAAU project in a large and wide audience.
Informative mailings were sent to University colleagues in other cities (Athens and Alexanthroupolis) giving them basic information on the project and also asking them to act as Associate Partners.
The teachers and students of five secondary school units in the Athens Metropolitan area were informed about the project via announcement postings and face-to-face meetings.
An article presenting the project's contents and objectives was published in the newspaper "HMERHSIOS" of the island of Kefallonia (the center of TEI of Ionian Islands).
An informal Conference/Fair was organized in Zakynthos where TEI of Ionian Islands presented its activities and among which the CIAAU was also promoted.
An announcement on the project was placed on the electronic newsletter "Ergasia kai Ygeia".

WP7.1
A total of 8 dissemination events were organized during this time period aiming at adults learners, secondary education students and teachers and general public. These events included two articles on websites (website of TEI of Ionian Islands and of newspapers "HMERA", two informative mailings (to a total of four secondary school teachers in the Athens area), one conference presentation (Genoa Conference) and three newspaper articles (local newspapers of Zakynthos).
WP7.2
Work was done for the preparation of the Project Dissemination Report

Outcomes:
- Announcement postings were put at four Departments of higher education institutes (Department of Environemtal Technology and Ecolody (TEI Ionian Islands) - Department of Biological Agriculture and Food (TEI Ionian Islands) - Department of Antipollution Technologies (TEI of Western Macedonia) - Department of Chemistry (University of Thessaloniki).
- Annnouncement postings were put in six "Secondary School Laboratory Centers for Physical Sciences" (EKFEs) all over Greece and one High School (Rhodian Pedia-Rhodes).
- Seven links were made to the website of the "Chemistry is All Around Us" Portal from the respective webpages of the six above mentioned EKFes and the School "Rhodian Pedia"

The Informative Meetings with 20 secondary school teachers as well as the Announcement posting at an Athens Secondary School resulted in the successful identification of 10 teachers suitable and willing to be interviewed for the production of the case studies of Work Package 2.
The publication in the local newspaper resulted in pronounced dissemination in the local community of the island where the Institute is located. Many phone calls (over 30) were made to the Project Manager expressing curiosity about the project.
The Informative mailing at Professor E. Katsivela in Crete resulted in adding an exploitation link to the Project website, since the TEI of Crete accepted to become an Associated Partner. Finally, the website article added extra visibility to the Project among the community of the TEI of Ionian Islands (students, professors).

A large and very wide audience was reached. Two University Departments (in Athens and Alexanthroupoli) accepted gladly to act as Associate members. One of them added a link to the CIAAU project already. The Secondary School teachers also showed strong interest on the project and are eager to check on the Educational Package as soon as it is available. One School (2nd Experimental Upper Secondary School of Athens) also added an exploitation link.
After the end of the Conference in Zakynthos people from local authorities involved in Life Long Learning approached us asking for more information.

- The dissemination events were in general very well received. The contacted teachers accepted to act as project evaluators and continuous promoters of the CIAAU project in their classrooms as well as among colleageus.
The articles affected a general adult public.
- Project dissemination report was produced and submitted on Febryary 25th 2010 (3 days before the deadline)

Evaluation of the work undertaken:
The dissemination events were very successful. Six out of the 22 EKFEs to which we sent the informative mailing, immediately also added a link to the Project Portal. We also received phone calls expressing the interest to the Project and wishes for success.

All five dissemination events of this time period can be evaluated as very successful, judging from the interest and in some cases enthusiasm expressed especially on the potential project outcomes.
The people of the locan community also expressed their pride for the participation of the Institute in this European project.

As judged from the outcomes the dissemination events of this period were successful and led to project exploitation.

The dissemination events undertaken had a strong influence on the target groups. One of the newspapers (HMERA) found the project very interesting and asked the project manager to give a phone interview on the project.
In general the dissemination work was greatly appreciated by the project promoter.
