Dissemination of the "Chemistry is All Around Us" Project

Description of activities carried out:

1) Twenty disseminations of the projects have been made:
- The project was presented during an in service training event on the topic of European cooperation addressed to teachers of secondary schools of all subjects (Florence, 10 March 2010).
- An informative mail has been sent to Chiappe Revello Society, a consulting company that operates since 1985 as an advisor in the field of corporate communication and public affairs (6 April 2010).
- The project was presented during “Embed” project meeting (Florence, 15 April 2010).
- The project was presented during a training seminar held in Florence in the context of the 23th Edition of the European Project Planning In Service Training course (4 May 2010)
- The presentation of the project and the project portal has been made during the internal meeting of the Department of Chemistry and Industrial Chemistry (Genoa, 19 May 2010)
- An informative mail was sent to all people working in the Department of Chemistry and Industrial Chemistry (Genoa, 19 May 2010)
- The project was presented in occasion of a Training Seminar held in Florence during an international study visit of Tartu Vocational Education Centre of Estonia (7 June 2010)
- The project was presented during the 24th Edition of the European Project Planning In Service Training course (Florence, 22 June 2010
- The project was presented during the 25th Edition of the European Project Planning In Service Training course (Florence,12 October 2010).
- The results of the first part of the project were presented to secondary school teachers as a seminar belonging to a cycle of ten training seminars dedicated to methodologies of chemistry teaching (Genoa, 5 November 2010).
- A poster collecting the main results of the project was presented during the VII National Conference of Chemistry Education (Terracina, 25-28 November).
- The ‘Science of Formation’ Faculty was informed about the ‘Chemistry is all around us’ project by an informative mail.
- Invitations to the Project Conference (Genoa, 1 February 2011) have been sent to professors and researchers of the University of Genoa and to secondary school teachers.
- 100 pens and 100 bags, with the project logo and web address printed on, have been produced and they will be given as project gadgets in the next days.
- Three power point presentations about the project have been showed and discussed during the Project Conference (Genoa, 1 February 2011)

2) Each dissemination has been uploaded on the project portal in the dissemination report space
3) The final dissemination report has been produced following the general guidelines

Outcomes:

A good dissemination of the project has been made in order to stimulate teachers and adult learners to access the portal and make use of the information uploaded on the project portal.
It is important to underline that the disseminations undertaken have been useful but they are only the beginning of the dissemination activities: indeed the conclusive part of the project enabled partners to upload the most attractive materials for end users, the educational packages. The dissemination will go on because now the portal is complete and rich of information both for adults and teachers.
