BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE INITIATIVE:

Since 1965 Jugend forscht is carried out on a multiannual base.

OBJECTIVE OF THE INITIATIVE:

The interest of adolescents in natural sciences and technology should be improved by experimental and explorative learning.

TARGET GROUP OF THE EVENT:

Young persons, teachers.
The initiative is an important guideline for schools and education.

ACTIVITIES CARRIED OUT IN THE FRAMEWORK OF THE EVENT:

The participants work on projects with the focus on one of the 7 natural scientific specializations of the competition.

IMPACT OF THE EVENT:

It is an national initiative with international projects like
Europas Jugend forscht für die Umwelt – Young Europeans' Environmental Research (YEER)
Worldwide Young Researchers for the Environment (WYRE)

RESULTS REACHED:

Jugend forscht established an innovative conception of stimulating pupils´ interest for natural scientific contents. The continuous amount of the adolescent participants prove that it is possible to inspire young persons for natural sciences.

EVALUATION OF THE INITIATIVE:

Jugend forscht constitutes a platform for young talents in natural sciences.
