Superquark
Piero Angela, inventor and TV host of the program
Superquark is a television program for scientific promotion. It started in 1995 and shown once a week with two hours of services and documentaries dealing with scientific topics: medicine, biology, chemistry, earth science, physics, technology, archaeology, social and cultural problems. During the program a few experts are questioned about topical subjects in order to clarify doubts and perplexities of common people and televiewers.
It is the oldest and most popular program of scientific dissemination in Italy. Its success is due to the choice of subjects dealt with and to the simplicity of the language used by Piero Angela and his team.
The objective is to satisfy people's curiosity about different subjects, mainly scientific, with the collaboration of experts speaking with a comprehensive but rigorous language and by using the most powerful mass media: the television.

National. Superquark is shown on RAI 1, one of the most important channels of italian television.
