The aim of this study is to develop a concept achievement test and implement to students at different grades. To collect data, the concept achievement test consisting of 20 multiple choice questions was used. It was applied to 443 students (from Grade-7, Grade-8, Grade-9 and Grade 10). In addition, the test was examined by a group consists at chemistry educators, chemists and science teachers to check validity. At the end of the application, they ensured that it was appropriate in terms of its content validity. Moreover, reliability of the test was found as 0, 95 by using Sperman Brown Formula.
The results of this study demonstrate that the concept achievement test is a valid and reliable instrument. The concept achievement test which is developed by this study can be used by teachers and academicians.
