The intention of teacher education has always been the preparation of future teachers for their tasks in school. Therefore students and teachers are in the centre of the formation. But the direct contact with school matters is not really taking place before the start of work. Only short school placements during the study period bring the future teachers in contact with the reality of their profession. With all the persons involved in chemistry teaching, students, teachers, professors, etc., new elements and concepts of the formation in the universities are suggested.
The report describes the objectives and aspired reforms in the formation of chemistry teachers which are still in the implementation process. This report is important because it gives a manual worked out by those who are directly concerned.
