Improvement of vocational training in ecology and biotechnology of teachers from vocational schools
• Further training of teachers in PGEB Prof. Zlatarov Assen, Sofia.
• Update the content of curricula and creation of electronic tutorials for training in ecology and biotechnology in the school.
Teachers in Vocational Schools
1. Introducing the latest technological advances in environmental biotechnology and in real terms:
• Visit modern companies for processing and recycling of different types of waste (municipal waste, paper, glass, metals, plastics, electrical and electronic components) in Berlin - ALBA;
• Visit a water treatment plant - Berlin.
• Visit to the laboratory for analysis of the environment in Berlin - UABG;
2. Participation in workshops on topics: "Ecosystems", "Waste Management in Berlin," Cooperation with schools on environmental protection:
• Visit the Mayor of Berlin;
• Visit the League for the Protection of the environment and nature;
• Visit to an ecological farm museum.
3. Introduction to vocational training in ecology and biotechnology:
• Visit the Occupational Center of Chemistry and Biology in Berlin /
Berufsbildungs zentrum Chemie-Biology /;
• Visit a vocational school in chemistry, physics and biology /Lise-Meither-schule Berlin/
The project involves partners from Germany and Bulgaria and is of regional significance.
Participants in the exchange increased their professional competence. They were acquainted with the German system of vocational training, environmental training courses and curriculum in vocational schools, training specialists in the field of ecology. Teachers will apply this knowledge to update the curricula in PGEB Prof. Asen Zlatarov. From visits to German companies and companies operating in the field of treating and recycling waste exchange participants received information about jobs and the professional competencies for each job.
Opportunity to visit sites related to the topic of the project which is extremely useful for raising the qualifications of teachers.
