In this study, it was tried to determine the ability of the students in primary and secondary schools to correlate their theoretical and practical knowledge with daily life. With this aim, a test of 18 questions about boiling and evaporation was applied to 150 students. This study concluded that laboratory based educational activities are inadequate in chemistry and science lessons and students fail to correlate what they learned in the lessons with daily life.

COMMENTS ON THIS DOCUMENT:

The study has useful suggestions for teachers of chemistry for secondary schools.
